Do each exercise to fatigue utilizing the proper weight for 3 sets of 8-10 repetitions. If yo are looking to gain muscle mass free weights are much better than machines, but they do require more attention to form.
If you are not allowing for enough recovery time between your muscle building sessions, your muscles will never grow properly. Your should check your recovery methods if you find that you are not making some progress from week to week. Make sure to set aside time for your muscles to rest so they can keep growing.
set realistic goals for yourself. Ask yourself what exactly is it you would like to accomplish. Think to yourself where you would like to see your body in six months and then in a year? Is gaining strength for sports the reason you want to lift weights? Are you weightlifting to look good strutting down the beach? Are you lifting weights to get stronger? You will have tremendous motivation to continue lifting weights once you have discovered why you want to lift weights.
